Founded in 1972 by David Allen and his brother John who retired in 1989 , the business was set up to supply electrical products to the local electrical contractors .

Business was tough to start with , but a combination of friendly customer service and helpful staff enabled the business to continue to expand .

The picture to the right shows the Company's premises during the late 1970s.

The company moved a new site in 1989 , from where they still operate from today.

In the mid 90s the opening of the lighting showroom was another landmark in the continued growth of the Company.

The Business is now run by David's son Chris who is of the third generation to have worked there.

Still family owned and run , Allen Bros now empolys 10 staff and operates from a custom built building of 11,000 square feet .
